13” x 14” tapestry woven with cotton and wool yarn, hung on wood dowel
Growing up on a farm meant lots of time spent out in the fields during harvest time. As children, my siblings and I would ride along with my dad or grandpa in the combine and drive supper out to the field with my mom. As an adult, I still love participating in harvest. I ride along with my dad or brother in the combine and drive supper out with my mom. I now ride along with my siblings in the tractor as they drive loads of corn up from the field to the grain bin. Best of all, I've had the pleasure of watching my own children experience the joy and excitement of harvest time.
One thing that cannot be beat is the enjoyment of a beautiful sunset sky as seen from the windshield of the combine or tractor. This weaving is of a stunning sunset as seen looking down the gravel road from my parents' farm to my paternal grandparents' farm.
